Problems for Parents over Medical Marijuana? Or are they too lazy?

OK, So I just got done reading this article on Google News. It's about a father in Colorado who thinks it's a bummer that he needs to explain all the "FREE Joint" ads that are floating around the streets of Colorado these days.

Here is what I think. I think that these parents need to inform their kids and be honest. You talk to your young kids about "The Birds and the Bee's" and about drinking alcohol - and why they can't until they're old enough. The same thing should apply to marijuana. Personally, I think these parents should be more concerned about the advertisement of alcohol...just my two cents.
